The Day After Christmas

So, I woke up pretty early this morning to go shopping. I guess I was out of the house by 9:00am. I didn't get done shopping until about 6:30 tonight. Ugh! That's a lot of doing stuff I don't like to do! But God loves a cheerful giver right!? I'm keeping my smile on! :-)

I got a lot done today, though. Met Kelly and Karen for lunch and had a good time at Chili's. I think that is the first time I have ever gotten EXCELLENT service from a restaurant in Fayetteville. The waitress was very attentive, quick, polite and respectful. I will definitely sit wherever she is serving next time I come in - totally worth the wait. Lunch with Karen and Kelly was a lot of fun. Karen is just a riot. I could sit and watch her all day long, she's so entertaining!

The stores were crazy - had to have been everyone in Fayetteville out for the day.

I got fingerpicks for my banjo...don't like them. ha ha! Since I've learned how to play with my nails/fingers, it's hard for me to get used to the picks. But I'm going to have to learn. Only bad thing is, I have to start from scratch again. I bought plastic thumb and fingerpicks, but think I need to get metal finger ones. Like any of you care - why on EARTH am I talking about this! ha ha! The music store folks were really nice, though. Folks? Did I just say that? Oh GOODNESS!

I went to Kelly's tonight and brought all the gifts for her, Roger, Karen and Bob. It was fun watching them open the gifts. We had a few cosmopolitans and went through some stuff for the cruise. We're gearing up. We'd better...we leave in a day-and-a-half.

So, going to the wig shop tomorrow - buying our gettup for New Year's Eve. We're all getting wigs and TOTALLY dressing up. I can't put pictures on here now, or it will ruin the surprise, but Kelly's alter ego is Julie.

GAME: Let's play name Rachel's Banjo.......what do YOU think it should be named? It's unisex. Winner gets....the pleasure of knowing I am using that chosen name!

That's exciting! Guess what? I got a guitar for Christmas! So I'm learning how to play too.
