Steeplechase

Yesterday we headed out on what should have been a 2 1/2 hour trip to Charlotte. Turned out we really didn't know where we were going and when we got there we didn't know...mostly because there were NO signs anywhere, but... We got there in about five hours to start a day of fun. JD, Kelly, Roger, Storm, Kat and I got some tickets to the Queen's Cup races. It was a beautiful day, great weather and we were with great friends. It was so much fun. We had tickets in a party tent and were right there in front of a jump just after the first turn on the race track. They served drinks, food and as always, we provided our own entertainment. We got there so late that we pretty much missed everything except the horse races. I know, I know, that's why we should have being going, but - of course we were looking forward to the opening ceremonies as well as the Jack Russell Terrior Races. Oh well. Afterwards, there was a tent with a band and we hung out there people-watching and dancing.

Then, on to Jack in the Box. This was Kelly's and Roger's first time to Jack in the Box (my favorite fast-food restaurant, in case you didn't know) and we inducted them well. They were feeling pretty sick on the way home. They had a taco or two and each of them had a milkshake. As you can see in the pictures, I had tacos, my favorite. NO, I didn't eat all of them. I only had... well, four.

So, click on the picture below to see the rest of the photos. We had a good time. Now it's 9pm on Sunday night and we're facing the reality that tomorrow is about to bring. Back to the daily grind.

JD and Storm are off to Jumpmaster School - good luck guys!!!
