Biiiiiig Baby (and American Idol)

First off, the less important stuff....American Idol is really bugging me. Until Sanjaya is off, I'm no longer going to comment on each performance. It doesn't matter and certainly doesn't matter who our predictions are. Ugh! I can't believe Gina went home - I sure thought it would have been Phil or Haley.

Now, onto more important things...our baby is biiiiiiiiiiiig!
She had her two-month checkup today. "2 months?" you say...yes, with many different fiascoes (how do you spell that?) we finally had her two-month checkup and she's already three-and-a-half months old. Oh well. She's just under 17 pounds and is 26 inches long! Yep, she's pretty darn big. 115th percentile on height and weight, to be exact. But the doctor isn't worried, because she's big in all directions. She says she's not fat, just going to be very tall. Funny thing is - usually a baby doubles its birthweight by six months and triples it by a year. I think Lorelai will probably triple her birth weight by six months. I guess we need to start enrolling her in basketball.

Lorelai also got her shots today. Of course, I cried. If you're a mother, you know what I'm talking about. It seems to not bother men...they have the tough exterior. I, on the other hand, still have hormones raging through my body and the sound of my baby crying makes me hurt. She was such a good sport and has been asleep ever since (2 hours). She'll be waking up soon and I'll just have her doped up on Infant Tylenol for the next two days. Pray that her fever is just temporary and she'll be up and cooing again by Easter!
