I've taken Clomid for the past five days. Today, my hormones have taken over my body. If you know me, you know I have a pretty decent amount of road rage. Today... fahgettaboutit!
I was THIS close to going off on two people today. One of which, probably would have landed me in jail. We were at Party Station and Lorelai took something from a little girl (maybe a year old?) and the mother took hold of Lorelai's arm and told her "no, this is HER toy." If I hadn't been worried about my hormones making me overreact, I would have punched her in her head. Not her face, her head. Probably not good.
I'm so crabby today that I don't even want to talk about how cute it is that when my daughter sings her abcs, her voice goes up an octave at "next time won't you sing with meeeEEEEEEE." I can't even bring myself to talk about yesterday when Lorelai chucked her poopy diaper across the gym parking lot AND pooped in the bathtub. Those are just two stories that require wit to deliver and I'm not ready for that right now.
I just want to sit and be crabby. And overreact to every. single. thing. that happens today.

Whoa, my body must produce Clomid cuz I hate everybody who isnt' me! I feel your pain.
Um, if someone grabbed my kid's arm I would be pretty pissed too. What did you do to her?!
Also, Mason has pooped in the bath tub several times. It is not fun and I make my husband clorox the bath tub before I will even set foot in the shower.
If you don't have anything nice to say... come sit by me.
I'll be crabby with you.
It's just part of my charm.
Oh the joys of Clomid! My advice is roll with it. During our infertility battle I wanted to put a sign around my neck that said I am hormonally out of wack and trying to concieve. I understand your pain. We are praying nightly for you! It will be worth it!!!
Oh, I HATE days like that! As if a day like that would not make you crazy anyway now you have to have raging hormones!
I'll say a prayer for you!
Rachel
Oh, Friend, I feel for you. And you are a far better human than me for checking yourself before opening a can of whoop ass on someone like that. I would have just punched her.
Oh honey, I feel for ya. I say just go get hot cup of something and sit in your room by yourself and be grumpy. You deserve it:)
So, I couldn't comment on MySpace for some reason...which annoys me a lot! Hormones a ragin' or not...I know your pain. The poopy diaper comment did make me laugh though...gotta hear that story when you get the chance! :) Hang in there...and feel free to ran to us, as I rant to you via blogs all the time!
Take the time to do this: http://www.makemesuper.com/index.html?
It will cheer you up!
It's ok Rachel, you're just upset that it doesn't look good for McCain... I've been very crabby today too. :)
Uh, I am not a violent person. At all. No road rage here. BUT. If a stranger grabbed MY daughter? Let's just say I would be thinking the same thoughts that you did. And my hormones are even. Today anyway.
As for your hormones? I'm praying they all do the job they are supposed to do. :)
1. You have every right to be hormonal
2. I would have punched the lights out of that woman..... but I'm hormonal too.
3. I can't belive Lorelai can speak so well - you have to film her singing that song! (still can't belive she can sing the words)
4. When you have your wit's about you, let us know about the parking lot poop. Funny how much time you spend talking about poop when you have kids.
5. Go to bed, put your head under the covers and don't come out till tomorrow! That always works for me.....

I've been on the clomid and I don't remember hormones, but it was a decade ago. Sheesh.
I'll be pissed off with you if you like--that's what good friends do.
Yeah... hormonal or not, that lady was out of line, especially since you were right there.
I was in a pissy mood the other day, result of pregnancy hormones, we could have been good company. As long as we didn't piss each other off, then it might have gone south fast.
Piss on, dear girl, Piss on!
If anyone ever grabbed one of my kids....well I feel sorry for that person. I am not very nice when I feel my kids are threatened.
You are a bigger person than me, I would have not kept things in check.
Prayin for you & your family, Rach.
I'll pray for you tomorrow night, at lakewood too.
luv, & blessings,
Alyssa's aunt helen
Oh girl ~ CALL ME!! I'll be crabby with you too! I am waiting for our last round of meds to clear my system, so I can try again! IS that crazy or what?!
Glad you were rational enough to not land in jail~ don't know that I would/could have been so wise!
HOLY $%!+ I'd have smacked her. No doubt.
I am getting close to 40. Real close. I feel myself getting less and less tolerant.
But, clomidin? I'll be thinking of you and praying for a positive result!!
What did you say to her? You are way better than me, because I would have gone off on her like I did to the guy in Taco Bell that didn't want to wait his turn and started ordering while I was still in front of the register because he thought I was going to take too long. Seriously?! Well it looks like you have lots of good friends but here's one too-feel free to call (we should talk on the phone more) and rant and rave if you please =) It helps.
Well, additional hormones or not, when someone disciplines, let alone touches, your child in a disciplinary way, the mama bear comes out in everyone. Even vanilla-puddin' heart me. Rarr! So that could totally ruin your entire day, there. It is an inititial response that you cannot help. And even though you claim grouchiness, a softer side actually comes through your post. Everyone deserves a day to just say, "I feel crappy today." Tomorrow will be better.
I think we have all had our mama bear moments. I distinctly remember telling a nurse to take her hands off of my child. I was not on any medication, maybe I should have been!
As for the poop thing, girl, I could tell you stories! As a matter of fact, my three year old pooped in her brother's room yesterday...on the carpet. It was that kind of a day!
Hope you level out soon and praying for quick results for ya!
I took three rounds of Clomid and it left me just short of crazy! Cute, cute blog design and even cuter kids!!! Found you on Kelly's list...praying for you!
Even when you're crabby, you still make me laugh. Next time we're together just give me a little slap to keep me off your nerves!
Clomid hell, it totally sucks doesnt it? Hang in there. I'm praying for you guys!!
I just saw you on Kelly's prayer list. I too react to clomid the exact same way! 5 days done, then the Mr. Hyde comes out to play;( argh!
I had my HSG last month and am just getting ready to start month 2 for #2.
My fingers are crossed for both of us!!
Email me if you have questions about the hystero--it's easy, but not "not a big deal" I thought it was a HUGE deal--but not painful. You'll be fine.
prayers and hugs to you!
