Here is why I haven't been blogging much.If that doesn't make any sense to you, run your mouse over your internet icon on your toolbar. See the difference?
Yeah, exactly.
So much has happened in the last few weeks, I wish I had time to blog about it all. My first nephew (Calvin) was born two weeks ago. He's just perfect and gorgeous and I cried when I met him. I don't have a picture of him, though. I was too busy holding him and smelling him to take any photos!!! Whoops!
I got to hang out with almost ALL of my family members at Thanksgiving. First, JD's immediate family and then my Dad's side had a family reunion. It was so much fun getting to see everyone. It's been FOREVER.
We found out that Storm and Katie are going to be having a boy.
My BFF, Kelly, is pregnant with baby number 2.
Alyssa and Andy are having another girl!
Hmm....what else?
Lorelai has done a lot of this with her Grandpa. She calls these "Po-Cakes." I guess that's cupcakes for the poor.
And she isn't really fond of being in a coat. She must loathe layering as much as her mama!!
When I got to high-speed internet finally yesterday, I checked my google reader. 658 blog entries! 658 BLOG ENTRIES! Are you kidding me!? You guys have been BUSY while I wasn't online. The bad part about that many posts is, I didn't have time to read them all. So, I visited as many as I could and then had to just mark the rest as "read" and then moved on. Otherwise, I wouldn't have ever gone to bed. I'd still be reading.
So, if you have any blog entries that you think I should read, let me know. This is my formal apology for not being able to keep up.
Oh yeah, and I'm SUPER sorry that I haven't responded to everyones' comments. There are so many, I just can't keep up. So, please know that I appreciate each of you and your prayers and support. I just love y'all!!!
This is Lorelai's cute face. She says she's sorry too. So, I'm at the in-laws' house until Wednesday and then will be at my Dad's until we leave this weekend to meet up with JD in Tennessee. We will FINALLY be to our house in Virginia by the 16th.
I'll make sure to take a lot of pictures of the new house. We're super stoked that we will finally be there. And we have the greatest landlords, so that'll make it even better! (In case you were wondering, she reads the blog....so yeah, I'm totally sucking up. And no, I don't know her, other than meeting her when seeing her house.)
All right, time to run.
Oh yeah, here is a little note from Lorelai. And if you don't believe me, hopefully I'll soon have a video of her singing that.
Daddy, where are you? I miss you, I wanna kiss you!

Hi Rachel! That internet connection...ummm...well.. it sucked! OOpss...sorry about that. Glad you are on high speed now!
If you haven't been by - I am trying for 31 posts in 31 days for the month of September.
BUT...if you have time only to read ONE of them, please read the one from December 3rd - it is titled "Michelle's Breast Cancer 3-Day walk"
Hope everything goes great with the move! The pics of Lala baking with her grandpa are great. My dad does that with my girls ALL the time. They both called them "pup cakes" at that age--so funny!
I'm sorry, but I'm loooooosing it on the "Po-cakes"...cupcakes for the poor. I'm seriously in tears laughing. So freeeeeking funny! Oh I love stuff like that!
OK, now I'm going to try to read the rest...gots to wipe all these laughter tears. lol

Kids say the cutest things!
Just glad to have a post.
I don't knwo if my posts have been worthwhile or not... I don't think they have said anything cute like Po-akes though :)
Can't wait until you get back into your groove in your new place!
Well I'm glad you were able to check in and post! CUTE pictures! :)
That layering picture reminds me of Lala from when she was about eight months old. What do you think? Glad you're getting to visit family during this transition. Can't wait until you're settled and can get ready for Christmas. Miss you already!!!!

Oops, I mean "Love, Anonymous"...
OMGosh! I am dying of laughter over here in Phoenix. First I was laughing because of the Po-Cakes, so loud in fact Alex had to find out what was so funny. You know I can really appreciate that being from St. Louis. But I have to admit I laughed even harder at your Dad's comment(s) [assuming it was him and not a prankster]. I had tears in my eyes. Too funny. Much needed. Thanks Rach and Rach's Dad.
OK - that little girl of yours it just getting too cute for words!!!!!! Where does she come from???????
oh my goodness, what GORGEOUS blue eyes Lorelei has...LOVE the pic...she is a cutey-I'm sure you know that!God Bless in your move!
Glad everything's going well. Missed you in blogland!
Hope the move goes well. I bet you have it down to a science, right??
Thanks Jessica P., but had the comment been mine I would have added something about that internet connection. I do believe that the picture is from my computer. Is there any faster connection out there for dial-up? I was impressed with that hi-tech stuff!

So glad you are back! Slow internet is such a drag!
Did you check out my Black Friday post? It was the best one I did while you are gone ~ I think. Here is the link if you missed it.

I'll be praying the rest of the move goes well. :)
Congrats on your new nephew...so great you could spend some time with him and of course the pics of Lorelai are the cutest!!
Love ya, Julie Z.
Okay,
Totally laughing so hard again. Dial-up and hi-tech don't seem to be right together in the same sentence, at least not in 2008. =)
Ah, Rachel I love your blogs and I love what it brings out in your commenters, wait commentors, oh I am such a dork, I had to google it, commentators...Speaking of dorks, why do people take offense to that word?
Hey there Rachel! Hope you are up and running smoothly in no time!
When you do, I tagged ya if you're into that sort of thing!
Wow, Lorelai is a gorgeous little one! That close-up is precious! I can't believe it--300 something comments and you make time to respond to mine. I have never met you and you STILL are the BEST! Thank you so much for caring enough to write! (Oh, and add another 15 couples to the "we're pregnant" list...like ALL of our friends too...) I'm grateful for you--understanding all this baby stuff. You are always in our prayers! ~Stefanie
LOL - I love your style of writing :)
