That is thriftacular!! (and a walk through my madness)

Not sure if you remember this old stool I got at...surprise surprise...a thrift store, but it was $10 and in great condition. Such great condition that they had it set up in the front of the store, which usually means it's going to be "expensive." It was meant for me.

It was thriftacular! You like my new word?

So, here it was BEFORE I got my hands on it.

First, I took out all the screws and bolts. I must put them away in a container, otherwise I will lose them or one will walk off.

Then I took out all the 100,000 dreaded staples. UGH!
I got tired of it, so I gave it to hubby to work on. He's smarter than me and just burns off all the excess material - forget the staples!
Okay, that's where my walk-through stops. I hand-sanded and spray painted the wood, then distressed it a little bit. I added new padding and material to the top and stapled it all around.

And, VOILA....a new stool for the front room!

It was pretty easy! Glad I got it in before the freezing front came in. I'm going to have to put spray painting on hold for a while. BUMMER!!
