Commander in Chief

No, this post is not about George Bush. But, that's what Keppel called JD on the phone today. She's too cute.

He's actually Commander of A Co. 1st BSTB. Congratulations, JD! JD took command of A Co. on the 27th from Matt Rogers. Below are some pictures. He's only been in command for two days, but already things are off to a good start and he feels great about the soldiers and the role he has taken on. ( I know, Dad...that wasn't grammatically correct, but it sounded funny the right way)

Some other FANTASTIC news we just got today is below....
Yes, that is true. JD has officially been accepted to PA School. For those of you who do not know, PA (Physician Assistant) School is something JD has been wanting to do for some time now. He wasn't supposed to find out until August, but they made their decision early and he's IN!!!

What will happen is, he will move to San Antonio next year around July / August to start out his schooling. At the moment, our plan is for me to stay here in North Carolina while he's going through classes. It should be under a year and we're hoping he'll come back to Bragg anyway. No need to sell the house, rebuild a life in San Antonio with a newborn...so, that's the plan for now. We're VERY excited about this change in his career path. He gets a full year of command and gets to be where he really wants to be - in medicine.

So, Congratulations JD - I love you!
