totally not feeling it...

Okay, I'm totally not feeling the post today, but I figured I should. I don't know why I'm not "feeling it," considering I finally figured out the Baby Bjorn (thanks to Kristen) and can now carry Lorelai around and actually do something at the same time (i.e. type).

So, since the last post, things have been going pretty good. We had a couple sleepless nights and another night where we had to give Lorelai a couple ounces of formula, because the supply and demand for milk were just not matching up. JD went back to work yesterday and I've been trying to figure out the whole schedule thing with a two-week old. Okay, I know - they don't HAVE a schedule. But that's the problem. I'm not used to not having a schedule - of some sort. Oh well.

We took Lorelai to church for the first time. She did very well. I had to go to the "Nursing Moms Room" twice, but other than that, she slept right through it all - she was a trooper!

Our friends, Kristen and Ron have a newborn as well and we've been able to see them in the last week to let the babies meet. :-) I was at her house today for four hours. I had NO idea it had been that long. Thanks, Kristen, for letting me invade your house for so long! Lorelai and Rhys (almost 8 weeks old) got to do a little "playing" and crying together. Okay, so newborns don't play, but - they were chilling for a few photos. Here are a few of them. The cute little boy with the blonde hair is Kristen and Ron's little boy, Chase. He'll be two soon. He's just adorable. He's potty training and doing a REALLY great job. He's so helpful with Rhys and so loving. He can actually say "Lorelai." We were really shocked with that one. You would think that word would be hard for him, but nope - he's one smart cookie! So these are the pictures - why does she ALWAYS scowl!? Rhys is all about having her for a girlfriend and she doesn't want anything to do with it! Is it just me or does my little girl only look like a little girl because she's in pink!? Don't tell her I said that!

Aside from that, JD is getting back into a routine at work. He's no longer in command, so it's a bit different for him. He leaves a little later in the morning now, like at 5:45 or 6am and he's getting home earlier..around 7:30pm or so. So, I certainly can't complain. I've actually been able to get dinner half-way on the table before he gets home. Okay, so yesterday was his first day back at the office, but I had dinner ready and I'll have it ready tonight - doesn't that count for something!?

I'm drawing a blank now at anything else that has happened. If I figure something out to write about, I'll be back. Have a great Wednesday everyone!!

Oh my gosh - I do remember one very good thing...JD made a cake on Monday night. Look at it - doesn't it look fantastic!? Yeah, it is. I've eaten so much already, it's half gone now. Whoops!

ok...so that last comment was by me and I'm having issues spelling! Glad to hear that things are going well! And I think that you're awesome for even cooking dinners...I would be soaking us the "I just gave birth" for a long time!

Oh and wow on the dinners - I'm with Kallie, I plan to keep my mom here for a good month so I won't have to cook :)

P.S. Will you also let me know if you find a great baby bouncer? I'm going cross-eyed from reading reviews on-line and still can't make a decision on what to order. Oh and the pics are sweet; I think she looks like a girl. Julie Z.
