I don't know if I found my mojo, but I found a need for Depends.

For those of you without kids (or men in general), you might not want to read this.

Seriously.

For those women with kids, don't even think about getting to the end of this and not commenting....you know it happens to you too!

Just a fair warning. I am TOTALLY going to Keep. It. Real.

So, JD and I joined Gold's Gym. Jazzercise just wasn't doing it for me. And no, it wasn't because of the name. It just wasn't enough of a workout.

My goal is to lose 50 pounds by the end of the year. So, I've set up a rigorous schedule of working out six days a week with a day to rest. So far I have taken three classes. Body Pump twice and tonight a class called Body Attack.

To put it simply, the class should be called Bladder Attack.

Who knew that doing all the .... ahem, appropriate 'exercises,' could still result in one "losing it" during jumping jacks.

Yep, I said it. Alyssa went with me and she had the same problem too, but she's too chicken to blog about it.

Not me. I ain't skeered.

For all you ladies who have had a child, can I at least get a little "woot woot!!"

Maybe not what you wanted to read about on my blog, but with all the peer pressure, I felt the need to blog about something.

Since I've had two children, I can definitely relate... not only with jumping jacks, but sometimes if I laugh really hard... nice.

I laughed...and tinkled. Thank you. And pass the Depends.

I'm adding jumping jacks to things I should avoid doing. I think the docs should just come out and say that those exercises don't really work. They are just something the medical professionals come up with to keep us busy thinking that there's a way to fix it. It's like a practical joke no one is in on.

Ha ha! Funny. Sometimes I have to be careful in spinning class when we get to the vigorous jumps. So I can definitely relate.

Way to go on the work out schedule. Seriously proud of you girl!!!

I have to go home and change because I just puked up all over my shirt.

Ladies, I'm glad you're with me.

Storm, I gave you fair warning. So, when you go home to change, put on your big girl panties....tomorrow might be even worse.

Oh, I so feel your pain!
Everytime I run, half way through I just know that I am not gonna make it back to pee if I keep running. So I end up waddling really fast, all the way to the bathroom.
not that I have been doing any running lately. 8 month preggo, I am lucky to make it from sitting to standing without leaking a little.

I cannot do jumping jacks! I basically just move my arms!

Oh, and don't even try to jump on a trampoline!

Don't worry, it totally gets better after the second child.

I'm lying of course. It gets worse.

I have not executed a jumping jack in a number of years, but I will report I can make my sister pee her pants pretty good just by making her laugh.

Good times.

Oh my goodness, I am so scared about what I have to look forward to in 6 weeks!!! I used to take body pump and love it, it was the best workout!!! But alas, I wasn't going enough to justify the monthly payment so we joined a smaller gym that's closer and cheaper.

I wasn't really planning on commenting on this post, you know, just in case someone from my blog finds their way here and reads this.

But, from 14 comments, I'm guessing the secret's pretty much out.

For all of YOU, I'm saying.

I personally have no idea what you're talking about.

What, peeing your pants isn't normal? I don't have children so does that mean it doesn't count :)

Emily said...

Well I am pregnant..... do I count? Hee Hee!!!

Send a pair my way! thanks for making me laugh, TOO HARD! Sometimes bathrooms will never be close enough. LOVE IT! Let me know how the gym routine works out. I've contemplated joining one myself, just can't seem to find the time to go :(

Ahhh everything good in the world is restored... your back!
As for the peeing thing - You have to do a whole exercise class for it to happen to you???? I just sneeze!

Now this is why you have to blog! What else is going to make me laugh so hard during my lunch break?!

welcome back! as for the peeing the pants...well, that only seemed to happen to me when i was pregnant. i tried to jump on a trampoline after (and i mean just after) finding out i was pregnant with #2 (haley) and i about peed my pants in front of all the kids!
jeff and i are in a race to lose 20% of our body weight...winner gets something they want and loser can't refuse. (uh, i have to win. you have no idea how depraved my hubby is!) anyway, good luck on your 50!

Heather said...

welcome back! just wait until you have more. then you won't even be able to cough or sneeze!

Emily said...

OK, I qualify now. I was at work, went to the bathroom and not two seconds later had to go rushing back... I think the little guy kicked me. Needless to say I didn't quite make it back in time.

haaa haaa. I am sure if I did jumping jacks I might have this problem. Okay now I have to catch up on the million other posts you have thrown out there. I think your Mojo is back!!!

I take Boot Camp at our gym. It's bad (3 kids). You have to wear a pad, not a skimpy little liner, but a full blown pad.

Keep it up!
