Playing with chalkboard paint

It started out with three containers I bought at the thrift store for a total of $6.
I taped them out with painter's tape.
Paint, paint and then paint again. It took about three coats to get a good solid square.
I removed the tape and....voila....erasable, reusable, and ghetto-fabable.

Yep, it reads "shug-a."

What? I'm SO not changing it.

Those are SO cool!!! I am definitely showing that to a crafty friend! And $6 for the 3 containers?? GET OUT! Or in Rachel-ese "Shut the Front Door!!"

Can you actually erase the descriptions if desired?

That's awesome!

I was going to do some chalkboard paint on the inside of Lexie's door, but Paul got freaked about chalk on the carpet. (Mind you, dirty dishes in the sink are no big deal though.)

IMO, if you had written Shug (rather than Shug'a) it would have been more ghetto-fab... but I'm down wit dat!

That is a cool idea! I love chalkboard paint and I found something JUST as cool! Dry-Erasable Paint! We painted the top of our desk and the doors in the office with it so we can just write notes and erase them. (This is helpful when I am on the phone and need to jot notes-it saves paper-then I transfer it to my PDA later)
