Bugs, bugs, icky bugs

First off, Merry Maid Day to everyone! They came this morning and I could just do pirohuettes around the house - I love it!

Secondly, the pest control guy came. We've been having ants around the front "landscaping" of our house and they were getting out of control. Luckily, they didn't make it IN our house. We also had a wasp nest out on the front porch. Anyhoo...the guy came and annhilated everything in his path. I was happy to see that. It was funny to see the spiders on the front porch try to scamper away from the poison, only to get ZAPPED by another trail. UNTIL....I saw what kinds of spiders had been living on the front porch. There was a brown recluse and a black widow. That's all I saw before I ran back in the house scratching all over. What is it with bugs that makes me all fidgety??
So, how crazy is that? A brown recluse and a black widow. I don't know what is going on with our house, but I feel like everyone else in the neighborhood can sit on their front porch and relax, but ours feels like it's all buggy. Maybe I'm just a little sensitive (hee hee)...JD would agree with that part, but I just don't like bugs anymore. THEN, come to find out, the millions of ants that were in the ant hills in our front yard are FIRE ANTS! I didn't know that! There have been so many times I was out in the yard barefoot...duh! I just want to put on a full body suit to cover every inch of my body when I go out now. I'm such a girl! ick!

Okay, off to lunch, then back to work.

Oh yeah - one more thing...I'm getting more and more serious about finding a good home for Rusty and Layla. Does anyone know ANYONE who is looking for a doggie or two? I'll probably put more info on them on here this week and then start advertising and interviewing families. Let me know!

Steve and I are the same way with bugs. BLECH. The other day, he sprayed outside AND inside for bugs (some indoor/outdoor stuff he got from Lowes). It seems to be working because since then, I haven't seen many bugs around or in the house. By the way, I thought Storm was considering taking Layla?

I haven't decided yet on Layla... with only 71 days left in the army I don't know how feasible it is right now.

Plus the thought of that kid laying on my couch all day, shedding and licking the wall isn't too appealing.

I can't believe I just said "alright". Sorry. Must be the sun getting to my brain and turning it to mush.
All right?

Rachel - glad you got your bug problem taken care of. YIKES - Brown Recluse, Black Widow, and Fire Ants -- sounds like a horror movie.
