on the cheap...

Armoire - $5

from a hotel sale about three years ago. I spray painted it black back then, when I wasn't even addicted to spraypainting! I was ahead of the game, wasn't I!? :-)

We use it in our front living room (sitting room? family room? what do you call a 2nd living room?)...anyhow we have it there, with a tv that is for Lorelai's video games, or movies, or an extra football tv. (by the way, the walls are a really pretty light green, so I'm sticking with black white and yellow for everything else in the room)

It also doubles as a little bit of storage, as you can see on the bottom. Of course, I lost the doors through all our moves, so I needed something to cover up the clutter of it all.

Just a few tension rods and a little sewing....what do you think?

Wow! I love it! I got a bedside table for my daughter yesterday. I am thinking to sand it and then spray paint it. Haven't decided. Do you sand before you spray?

Hey! You don't know me, but I found my way here through a friend's blog.... I've been looking for fabric to use in our master bedroom, and I'm in love with the fabric you used here. Do you mind sharing where you got it?

Embrace the Circus, I usually email back each of my commenters, but I can't find your email address on your profile, so I'll answer you here.

I bought that fabric at JoAnn's Fabric, actually. It is part of their home decor section. It's 30% off right now, too.
